I love rosemary but great plants are hard to find so I am growing my own.

So the rosemary was taking forever because it is notoriously hard to germinate!
I did some research online and came across a website that suggested that we soak the rosemary seeds in water for a few hours before planting. I did and planted them on April 8, 2009 and today we have a new sprout! I am now a fan of the pre-sown soak!

I got tired of waiting for these 2 little sprouts so when I was at Home Depot today and I saw this amazing little guy in a peat pot I had to bring him home. I repotted it and the little sprouts with them!

The rosemary takes a long, long time...
I've been growing mine for 18 weeks now, your bought one (cheat 
), is much bigger!

I need to buy one too. but need to debate on planting it outside or keep indoor in a pot. Love rosemary with lamb or roasted potatoes.

Yea I cheated and I'm proud of it! 
It was either buy this one for $3.48 or buy another pack of seeds & I was already into the rosemary seed companies for 2 packs at 1.59 each which only netted me 2 sprouts which are still growing I might Mr Peat!

1 of the 2 sprouts I transplanted with the new bought rosemary didnt make it but 2 new sprouts appeared! Now I get to watch how rosemary grows from seed after all!
Day 12 - Finally I have a rosemary sprout!
