Question about red fire peppers

Hi everyone!

These have been started back 4 october 2014, many of them seems to get bigger but I dont see any red part on any peppers...

I thought that they needed more light so 3 weeks ago I've added another 1600 lumens CFL (desktop lamp) which runs all day long providing more light to the plant. I add one tablet of nutrient each 2 week as the documentation suggest and I've modded my aerogarden with an aquarium pump and custom airstone. I do a flush and refill once a month.

Peppers nearest to the grow light seems to get more yellow, I dont know if its good or not...

Finally, Im wondering how much time will be needed for my red fire peppers to be ready for harvest! Also, if you could give me some advices to get things better, I will take anything as this is my first experiment with this kit! :) (sorry for poor english)

Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot!

To my surprise,  even green ones are really hot (in the way that you cant eat 2 in a rows without a milk glass lol)! I have not tasted a red one so far, Ill wait a bit to get them more mature!

Hi, metalheadz,

Hi, metalheadz,

Gorgeous plants.

It normally seems to take me about 17 weeks - not 7 - for a red-ripe pepper. But I've never grown your variety. It looks a bit quicker. The way pepper fruits grow is that they get to their final size and then... wait. Wait some more. Keep waiting... wink

The outside is the final size, but the fruit walls grow thicker. It just takes a surprisingly long time.
