Last update on the peppers

Last update on the peppers and this grow log: they are now in the window receiving what meager light they can absorb - they outgrew the small Classic and I had to move them on.

I picked about five, four small ones and one much larger. The small ones tasted far too strong, too bitter (they had been on the plant for way too long), the larger one was fine.

The plants continue to set fruit and will be picked more diligently next time...

They are these, getting close

They are these, getting close to picking them but the pictures don't show the green underneath - not exactly the 'thick walled' fruits as the packet says but that's my fault for not providing them enough light, a bit of a shock from 400 watt HPS to a couple of old 26 watt AG CFL's eh!

Hi Peat-

Pretty peppers!  What variety? Let us know how they taste - I know you're going to pluck one!

Not the grow tent anymore but

Not the grow tent anymore but another picture of the slowly developing peppers, struggling under the AG lights which are now probably over 2 years old!

Orange is the final colour of these, good job it's not red... Should be completely ripe before Xmas.

Slowly turning orange...

Yeah - I think hardwood and tile floors are gorgeous, but my feet get cold and sore... Especially on the ground floor. Still, it's very pretty work, with such pristine tidy molding at wall bottom!

The electric bill will be slashed!

Thanks about the floor, not my handy work though, it was here when we arrived. Only problem is it's cold to walk on, can't beat a good bit of carpet.

Prolonged holidays do get in

Prolonged holidays do get in the way of growing indoors, I guess I'll have to stay in more.

I'm pretty happy with what I received in the tent once I managed to stabilize the climate: the Alicante produced quite a few in a short period but then ceased to set anymore flowers? The other two Gardeners Delight plants were slower to get going, one produced well and the other was getting it's act together before it was chopped!

I knew I'd find another use for the AG, here are the remaining peppers...
