Has anyone experimented with a pod substitute, something less expensive than the pods at amazon?
Thank you.

I reuse the baskets and purchased the Seed Starter Refill Pack:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0015MNIN8/ref=oh_aui_i_sh_in_o0_img?ie=U...
There are other peat starters plugs on there too but needed more nutnutrients anyways. .
Thank you for your response. I am going to check the park starts sponges. I am very new at this but looking forward to using it.

I keep the pod baskets, wash and reuse them. For the sponge, I use Park Starts refill sponges (the styrofoam blocks are handy, too.) https://parkseed.com/park-starts-seed-starters/p/v1595/
