Multiple Plants

I just received my Aerogarden Bounty and thinking about planting 7 lettuces, a basil and a tomatoe plant.   Has anyone had any experience with multiple plants?   Any pros or cons?

Yes, we've had experience. laugh The tomato isn't really compatible with the lettuce and basil, although I've sometimes grown some quick lettuce and basil during the early life of the tomato. Tomato has a different lifecycle and nutrient needs. It will also eventually block all the light, because it's taller.

For your first grow, I highly recommend lettuce! And a basil or two, if you want. Tomatoes are harder, with a serious case of delayed gratification. You can start picking basil leaves in a few weeks.
