15" so far.  We had sleet

15" so far.  We had sleet last night so we'll be spared the huge snow totals.  Very dense snow, too.

LOL, Beth! Perhaps the gas

LOL, Beth!

Perhaps the gas is to run away before the storm.

Aside from a really deluxe Sunday supper (I can relate to that - spend all weekend cooking if snowed in, not a bad plan), I can't figure out the meat, either.

Still expecting less than an inch here.

Hi Gisette,  Yup, 2 to 3 FEET

Hi Gisette,

Yup, 2 to 3 FEET of snow in Southern Maryland.  Sigh.  At least we are prepared - All bread, milk, toilet paper and gas are sold out.  Oh yes, and meat.  Can't figure out the gas and meat.  No one is going anywhere, so why the gas?  And why is there a run on meat??  No one has a freezer?  We stocked up on coffee and cinnamon buns ;>)  I went to the local garden shop and bought sprouts to grow.  Then to the library for books to read.

Beth - I'm thinking of you

Beth - I'm thinking of you each time I hear about the oncoming mid-Atlantic storm. The one calling for 1-3 feet in DC, but so far, they still think passing us by to the south...

I know, it is pretty bad when

I know, it is pretty bad when you start wishing for a drought!  A nice warm rain free May would be wonderful!  Our three County snow plows didn't make a first pass until 5 PM.  I hope the roads are clear tomorrow - I'm going stir crazy!

Stay Warm,

Beth

You're getting more snow than

You're getting more snow than we are.

Really missing that nice warm spell now. Last night below zero with wind chill again. Tonight's low headed back down to 13°F.

On the bright side, I read the Old Farmer's Almanac prediction for this spring / summer. They're calling for temps above average and drier for April & May, typical steamy deluge for June, then cooler and drier, maybe even drought for summer. After the past two growing seasons, wouldn't that be nice!
