Mini Cabbage - what to do with it?

Hi All,

I have a mini cabbage growing in a vitamin water bottle and airstone that is about ready to pick (I know, I need to post pictures).  What exactly does one do with a single baby cabbage?  Should I cook it or can it be added raw to a salad?  I restarted my elite with lettuce and was kicking myself for losing a plastic pod holder - then I realized the cabbage was in it!   I used a mega cherry tomato pod holder instead.

Thanks,

Beth

Thank you! That's so cool.

Thank you! That's so cool. I've never grown a cabbage. They don't roll themselves up into a head, huh?

I still want to see this

I still want to see this cabbage. Preferably in its airstone-supplied water bottle!

Me too!  Me too!  Sounds great!

Enjoy!

Like I need more plants, of course.

I love cabbage. Do you ever

I love cabbage. Do you ever make meatloaf? A baby cabbage might not be enough, but I make a sort of lazy cabbage roll meatloaf I love... For a small meatloaf, less cabbage might be OK.

Blanch cabbage, chop it up, spread on the bottom of a pan, put cooked rice&ground meat&egg raw meatloaf on top, canned tomato & onion to swim in, bake... It's very good.

But yeah, if you want to savor the fresh flavor of the little cabbage, probably cole slaw is better.
