I know it is not really AG but thought it might be interesting for someone.

you need to take the plege to grow what you eat (i.e. 10 lbs of fruit of vegetables) at

Nice idea and initiative.

salt-sprayed beachfront

salt-sprayed beachfront gardening     Why not just do a large raised bed, square foot style, then you wouldn't have to worry about the dirt since you'd be supplying it.  And most communities have free compost for the taking at your local 'dump' (for lack of a better word)

Go for it!!    (then of course, tell us all about it)

Huh - dunno why I never

Huh - dunno why I never thought of it before, Mary, but you've inspired me... I could ask my father for some space in his yard. Of course, that's that salt-sprayed beachfront gardening experience I grew up with. But the yard seems to have grown a lot more fertile since then... Someone seems to have invested in soil since I was a kid.

I tried to get a community

I tried to get a community garden plot this year but was a little too late by the time I tried so have myself (and my Mom) on waiting list for next year.  I guess I just have to get her that raised bed since she does not have nough room for all the seedlings we planted lol if each pepper and tomato is a square foot.

Thanks for mentioning that,

Thanks for mentioning that, Mary, I went back and looked at the site some more. Very nice tool... I'd like to build some tools like that.

I love their selection of raised bed construction gear! Oh, I want land...

I like their tool plan a

I like their tool plan a raised bed and you just drop the type of plant, they tell you the spacing..  Save a lot of look up in the square foot gardening book.

Thanks for this link, Mary.

Thanks for this link, Mary. Entered!

This site isn't AG-specific. It's cool growing tech. (Raised-bed organic is a tech, too!) Or even just cool plants.
