An Aerogarden kit includes nutrient tablets. But the avid experimentalist will soon reach the limits of using those... This section of the Lore book is for topics relating to using your own nutrients. Or using AG's tabs wisely.
I don't think I have received any tomato seed pods yet and therefore haven't seen the large plant nutrients. There is a difference between the salad, herbs, flowers and the larger plants like tomatoes and peppers. I don't know what else falls into the large plant category.
I think the new packets may have different sizes for 2-packet vs. 1-packet crops. As in, if the directions call for 2 packets, each packet is a bit smaller than the 1-packet type.
But yeah, I think the ingredients are the same - just different dosages. And the higher is not 2x the lower dosage.
They aren't using tabs now but liquid nutrients and I have only received the same type nutrients for salad greens, flowers and herbs. I haven't planted any tomatoes and it seems the only difference is after the first time, for tomatoes and peppers 2 nutrient packets are used after 2 weeks and every 2 weeks past that. the herbs, I think flowers, and the lettuces are one packet of the liquid nutrient every 2 weeks.
Here is a breakdown of what your AeroGarden tablets are, in EC and pH. These are my results after testing, they were fully dissolved in 3.2 litres of water (the capacity of the Classic/Deluxe/Pro100 and Pro200). Tested using a BlueLab truncheon (for EC) and a liquid pH kit.
