The Pro100 in the kitchen now growing herbs to use in the kitchen. Much better company than the eggplants... Basil and a bit of dill are key to cooking what's growing outside, and the pineapple sage is really good in iced tea.

This is like going to a friend's house for dinner and finding they have the slide projector or video of their vacation to Hoboken ready to bore you to death. At least here you can leave at any time. It shows the good, bad and ugly as I learned to keep little bushes green and sometimes produce fruit.

Simple things to do with basil and dill:

1.) Sliced tomato and fresh mozzarella cheese, with basil leaves between each layer, drizzled with a garlic & olive oil mix. Yum... I think this is called "caprese". (Here in greater Little Italy, we call it "tomatoes and fresh mootz.")

I planted my first Pro100 on November 1, 2007. This is a Flash movie of its first month. My first kits were a Salad Chef pack (14 pods, sampler of all the salad series kits), plus gourmet herb. I grew 2 herbs (basil and dill are my favorite!), plus some of each of the salad types, to see how I liked them.
